How guidance is produced

Editorial Policy

CoverPilot publishes general commercial-insurance education to help readers organise facts and understand questions worth raising with an authorised adviser or insurer.

Topic selection

Articles are chosen where a defined operational issue can be explained usefully—for example driver records, customer vehicles, claims evidence or interruption periods. Pages should answer a real question rather than exist only to repeat a keyword.

Research and drafting

Writers use policy concepts, industry practice and publicly available material relevant to the subject. Where a statement depends on a particular policy, market appetite or legal position, the wording should make that dependency clear. Examples are illustrative and should not be presented as universal rules.

Review and correction

Material is reviewed for clarity, internal consistency, regulatory status and overlap with existing pages. Important updates should change the page’s reviewed date where the site supports one. Readers can report a factual error by emailing the page address and the disputed wording.

Commercial influence

The existence of a supplier, insurer or commercial relationship should not determine the conclusion of an educational article. Sponsored or paid material, if introduced, should be labelled distinctly from independent guidance.

Use of artificial intelligence

Technology may assist with structure, checking or drafting, but published material remains subject to human review. AI output should not be relied upon to invent facts, policy terms, quotations or regulatory claims.

What publication does not mean

Reading a page does not create a client relationship, confirm that insurance is available or replace examination of an actual policy wording. The site remains pre-launch until its regulatory status page says otherwise.
